Over the last few years, VNU has always been ranked as the top university in Vietnam by QS and classified among the top 200 leading universities in Asia and the top 1,000 universities in the world. Presently, VNU has more than 2,200 scientists, of which 19% are Professors and Vice Professors, 53% are doctors and doctorates of science. It publishes more than 680 international scientific articles published on the ISI / SCOPUS annually.

In execution of the development strategy until 2025, it is necessitated for VNU to attract more than 500 outstanding lecturers, researchers, managers and experts in all fields namely Natural Sciences - medicine, engineering-technological sciences, social science and humanities, interdisciplinary science ... In addition, it is possible for the scientists to propose new sectors, fields and their research approaches at VNU.
