Ruhr University Bochum (German Ruhr-Universität Bochum, RUB), located on the southern hills of central Ruhr area Bochum, was founded in 1962. RUB is one of Germany’s leading research universities with a growing international reputation. The university is organized in twenty different faculties in 4 subjects: Humanities (11 facultties), Engineering Sciences (3 faculties), Natural Sciences (5 faculties) and Medicine ( 2 faculties).The key development plans focus on the strengthening of interdisciplinary research priorities and the promotion of Early Career Researchers.
