The agreement was signed by Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and President of VNU Bui The Duy and Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Post Chu Quang Hao.
Beyond strengthening the partnership between the two organizations with highly complementary strengths, the agreement signing reflects their shared commitment to implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Through this collaboration, the two parties aim to co-create a smart university town ecosystem while establishing an effective university-industry partnership model that fosters innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable development.
Under the cooperation agreement, the two parties will jointly develop a Smart Campus model in VNU Town in Hoa Lac, with the goal of creating an integrated digital ecosystem that supports governance, education, research, and student life. A range of smart solutions including a smart logistics center, Campus Delivery services, Smart Lockers, intelligent pickup and drop-off points, as well as integrated digital payment and service platforms will be introduced in phases. These initiatives are expected to enhance operational efficiency while improving the overall experience of students, faculty, staff, and the wider university community.
A key highlight of the partnership is the development of a Student Digital Workforce model, which enables students to participate in digital transformation projects including data digitization, data analytics, digital platform operations, and other discipline-related tasks while pursuing their studies. This model allows students to gain hands-on experience and strengthen their professional competencies before graduation.
In the areas of science, technology, and innovation, VNU and Vietnam Post will collaborate in research, development, and application of core technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, autonomous robots, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for logistics, infrastructure management, and smart city development. The two parties will also work together to develop digital platforms and conduct research on a national digital address system, digital mapping, and geospatial data. In addition, they will explore the establishment of joint research groups, shared laboratories, and innovation centers to accelerate applied research, innovation, and technology transfer.

In particular, VNU envisions transforming the VNU Hoa Lac Campus into a Living Lab - an open innovation environment where Vietnam Post's technological solutions can be tested and validated under real-world conditions with the active participation of VNU researchers, faculty members, and students.
The two parties will also establish an integrated talent development pipeline that connects career orientation, education, internships, recruitment, and talent cultivation. The two sides will expand project-based internship programs, career fairs, short-term training courses, and professional development initiatives in such key fields as AI, data science, logistics, e-commerce, and digital transformation. In addition, VNU and Vietnam Post will promote the creation of startups and university spin-off companies, strengthen knowledge transfer, accelerate the commercialization of research outcomes, and foster the innovation ecosystem between VNU and Vietnam Post.
