A dormitory is often considered a second home to students because it is not only a place to live but also a place to hold many supportive activities for student life, study, skill development, and career orientation.
Ngoai ngu Dormitory is located on VNU campus at 144 Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay, Hanoi, a convenient location near the lecture halls of its training units. The dormitory consists of 3 buildings (Buildings A, B and C), with 268 rooms of different kinds; all the rooms are equipped with water heaters, air conditioners and Internet services.

It provides accommodation for 1,850 undergraduate, graduate and international students as well as international guests of the following units: VNU University of Languages and International Studies, VNU University of Engineering and Technology, VNU University of Economics and Business, VNU University of Law, VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU University of Education, VNU ULIS Foreign Language Specialized School, and VNU UEd High School of Education Sciences. Ngoai ngu Dormitory’s infrastructure, facilities, room facilities and environmental landscape are upgraded yearly.
Me Tri Dormitory is located at 182 Luong The Vinh, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, about 2 km from VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities and VNU University of Science. The dormitory consists of 4 buildings (Buildings C1, C2, B1 and B2), with 295 rooms of different kinds. It provides accommodation for 1,850 undergraduate, graduate and international students as well as international guests of the following units: VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU University of Science, VNU University of Education, VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students. All the rooms in the dormitory are equipped with water heaters, Internet services, and over 82% of the rooms are equipped with air conditioners. The dormitory also offers bottled drinking water and room cleaning service.
My Dinh Dormitory comprises two 21-storey buildings, providing accommodation for 2,300 residents, including 1,300 VNU students, located in My Dinh II urban area under the management of the Housing and Public Works Management Board.
Buildings 1 and 2 have rooms with a floor area of 42 m² each with three iron bunk beds for six residents. 100% of the rooms are fully equipped with modern and convenient facilities.
The VNU boarding zone in Hoa Lac, surrounded by a modern, green space, is located within the fresh VNU campus integrated with many facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a sports area, and various vivid and romantic check-in spots.
Currently, VNU has three dormitories in Hoa Lac, including the Guest House Dormitory, the Dormitory under the Centre for Defense and Security Education, and Dormitory 4 with 1,000 rooms. Each room is equipped with bunk beds, wardrobes, study desks, an air conditioner, and a separate toilet.
