Portrait of the youngest Associate Professor candidates from VNU University of Engineering and Technology

Dr. Do Quang Loc and Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh are the two youngest Associate Professor candidates in Vietnam in 2025. Both were born in 1992, currently 33 years old.

The State Council of Professors has just announced a list of 933 candidates proposed by the Grassroots Council of Professors for recognition as meeting the standards in 2025.

According to this list, there are two youngest Associate Professor candidates born in 1992: Dr. Do Quang Loc - lecturer at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (assigned to the position of Professor of Physics); Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh - senior researcher at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (assigned to the position of Associate Professor of Chemistry).

Being one of the two youngest associate professor candidate in Vietnam is Dr. Do Quang Loc, from Lang Son, graduated from a university in physics (majoring in modern electronics engineering) in 2014, and was awarded a PhD in physics (majoring in radio and electronic physics) at the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2019.

Dr. Do Quang Loc has completed 1 state-level scientific research topic, 1 ministerial topic, 2 grassroots topics. 78 scientific articles have been published, of which 36 are in prestigious international journals.

From 2016 to December 2024, Dr. Do Quang Loc spent time researching science and teaching at the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Currently, he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Electronics - Telecommunications, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Dr. Do Quang Loc's two main research directions include research, design and manufacture of MEMS micro- electronics and advanced micro-encephalt systems for application in biomedical applications; Development and optimization of electronic Circuits and signal processing systems for medical devices.

Up to now, Mr. Loc has completed one State-level scientific research topic, one Ministry-level topic and two grassroots-level topics.

He has published 78 scientific articles, including 36 scientific articles in prestigious international journals and two patents and useful solutions.

In the application for recognition as Associate Professor, Dr. Do Quang Loc shared that since he was still in school, he had cherished the dream of becoming a university lecturer and constantly strived to achieve that goal. During his work, he always strives to fulfill assigned tasks as a university lecturer.
