VNU and Vietnam Television join hands to promote education, science, and innovation communication

On September 11, 2025, in Hoa Lac, VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son held a meeting with Vietnam Television (VTV) Department of Special Features – Science and Education led by Head Nguyen Thu Ha.

With its scientific and technological resources and a team of highly qualified personnel, VNU wishes to collaborate with VTV in developing in-depth communication programs that spread the spirit of innovation and bring knowledge closer to the community. VNU Vice President Pham Bao Son suggested that, in the coming time, the two sides coordinate in communicating scientific and technological achievements by showcasing research projects, inventions, and technological solutions from VNU’s strong research groups to society, thereby promoting the connection between research, enterprises and the public. VNU is ready to accompany VTV in academic and creative competitions such as “Practical AI,” as well as other intellectual playgrounds with the participation of VNU’s students and lecturers, and enterprises, thereby affirming VNU’s position in the field of high technology.

Mrs. Nguyen Thu Ha expressed her hope that VNU would accompany her Department in its various activities, especially in education-oriented programs that encourage innovation and creativity for creating a widespread impact on society. She also believed that the “Practical AI” competition is a meaningful platform for VNU to affirm its position in the field of artificial intelligence.

Mr. Trinh Quoc Dong - Deputy Head of VTV’s Department of Special Features – Science and Education, emphasized that VNU units currently have many attractive research projects and products with both scientific and practical value that should be widely disseminated. For its part, the Department has strengths in producing in-depth scientific documentaries. Therefore, the two sides can fully cooperate to transform research works on environment, culture, history, and other areas into vivid, accessible documentary films for the public.

He also proposed that VNU facilitate a regular participation of its experts and scientists in the Department’s programs and projects, not only as interviewees but also as professional advisors for and companions in content development. In addition, the two sides could jointly organize competitions, voting programs, and evaluations of issues in science and technology, education, or the environment, that are directly connected to VNU’s research projects. This approach would both promote and communicate research outcomes and at the same time affirm VNU’s academic standing and scientific reputation.

Addressing the meeting, Chief of VNU Office of the President Mai Hoang Anh stated that strengthening cooperation between VNU and VTV’s Department of Special Features – Science and Education would provide an opportunity for VNU experts and scientists to directly participate in in-depth communication programs, thereby spreading knowledge, fostering creativity, and bringing practical value to society. He also suggested that the two sides collaborate on special topics such as health consultation, legal advice, or daily life issues, presented in the form of in-depth features with the participation of VNU’s reputable intellectuals.

Director of VNU Science and Innovation Department Tran Thi Thanh Tu stressed that, in addition to communicating science and technology activities, the two sides could jointly organize academic and innovation competitions involving enterprises. This would not only spread the spirit of creativity but also effectively connect universities, scientists, businesses, and society.
