VNU presents 12 students won First Prize in the 2025 Student Scientific Research Awards

On January 28, 2026, VNU President signed a decision to commend and award Certificates of Merit to 12 students who won First Prize in the 2025 VNU Student Scientific Research Awards. This recognition honors outstanding research projects that demonstrate the students’ academic excellence, creative thinking, and strong commitment to scientific research at VNU.

This year’s First Prize-winning projects span a wide range of fields, including science and technology, economics, law, and natural sciences, clearly reflecting a research orientation closely aligned with real-world issues and sustainable development trends.

In the field of law, the project “Harmonizing laws for migrant fishers in the ASEAN region towards a just and equitable seascape,” conducted by students of the VNU University of Law, focuses on analyzing and proposing legal harmonization to protect the rights of migrant fishers in the ASEAN region, thereby promoting equity and sustainable development of the maritime domain.

In economics and investment, a student group from the VNU University of Economics and Business, with the project “Establishing a criteria system for measuring countries' competitiveness in green FDI attraction: Vietnam's position in the ASEAN region”, developed a set of criteria to assess competitiveness in attracting green foreign direct investment, clarifying Vietnam’s position within the ASEAN region.

In the field of science and technology, the project “A breakthrough and mobile metal 3D printing robot for the future of manufacturing and education,” carried out by students of the VNU International School, proposes a mobile metal 3D printing robot solution, opening up significant potential applications in smart manufacturing and engineering education.

In natural sciences, the project “Enhancing flow forecasting capability of machine learning models: An application study for the Da River basin,” conducted by students of the VNU University of Science, focuses on improving the accuracy of flow forecasting models, contributing to water resource management and disaster prevention efforts.

The commendation of students who won First Prize in the 2025 VNU-level Student Scientific Research Awards not only honors individual achievements but also affirms the effectiveness of the teaching and research environment at Vietnam National University, Hanoi in nurturing and developing young talent.
