Amid rapid digital transformation and the growing risks of cybersecurity threats, the VNU School of Business and Management (VNU-HSB) is accelerating the development of high-quality human resources in non-traditional security and cybersecurity.

Master’s Program in Non-Traditional Security Management (MNS) on Specialized orientation in cybersecurity and security governance in the new context
Recently, VNU President Bui The Duy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the project “Supporting the Vietnam Institute for Non-Traditional Security in Enhancing Cybersecurity Training Capacity” as part of efforts to strengthen Vietnam–Korea cooperation. The project is expected to be implemented from 2026 to 2029.
Numerous strategic agreements in science and technology, digital security, and technological infrastructure have also been signed, reflecting the growing and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the digital era.
The VNU–KOICA cooperation project for 2026–2029 is expected to: Build modern cybersecurity training infrastructure; Establish a Cyber Range for cyber-attack and defense simulations; Develop the internationally standardized “V-Shield” training program; Train lecturers and experts while strengthening Vietnam–Korea research and technology transfer.
Regarding cybersecurity challenges, Prof.Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi, Rector of the VNU University of Business and Management (HSB), emphasized that in the context of globalization, digital transformation, and deeper international integration, alongside development opportunities, Vietnam is also facing numerous challenges from non-traditional security threats, especially cybersecurity. Risks such as cyberattacks, data breaches, high-tech fraud, and threats related to digital economy, finance, and business are having significant impacts on national stability and sustainable development.
