11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
The thesis sets out the research objectives of exploring strategic implementation barriers and measuring the impact of these barriers on strategic success in SMEs in the context of three pepper production sectors. in Quang Nam province.
In the thesis, the author has clarified the basic theoretical framework for the research topic, as well as synthesized and developed the scale for the main research concepts. Quantitative research methods used include 2 preliminary research steps (with samples of 50 observations) and formal studies (with a sample of 485 observations). Research results have shown that the main barriers affecting the process of implementing strategies of enterprises are: (1) Industry environment barriers, (2) Interactive barriers, (3) Barriers to systems system - process, (4) Resource barriers, (5) Barriers from the macro environment.
At the same time, the case study method has also been applied to further understand and analyze the specific barriers in three typical businesses in three manufacturing industries. selected in this study.
With the findings in this study, the thesis is valuable both in theory and practice. In terms of theory, the thesis has systematized and reorganized the strategic implementation barriers according to new groups in accordance with the new research context of SMEs in Vietnam in general and Quang Nam province. in particular. In addition, the author has verified and affirmed the negative relationship of enforcement barriers to the success of the strategy. In practice, the thesis provides reference information for policy makers, state management agencies, and managers in SMEs to adjust and have limited solutions and overcome barriers in implement corporate strategy. Besides, the thesis also clarifies some limitations of this study and suggests the next research directions.
12. Practical applicability:
Firstly, the dissertation synthesizes and supplements the scale of strategic implementation barriers, and verifies these scales in the context of new research as SMEs in Quang Nam province.
Secondly, the thesis uses quantitative research methods to measure and assess the impact of barriers in strategic implementation in enterprises in Quang Nam province. From there, find the key points to improve so that businesses can successfully implement their strategy.
Third, the thesis also initially found some characteristics in the strategic implementation barriers of small and medium enterprises in Quang Nam province different from other provinces.
Fourthly, the thesis also ranked the barriers of strategic implementation according to the characteristics of enterprises, depending on each industry, each type of business.
Fifthly, the dissertation studies typical business situations to indicate specific barriers in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in Quang Nam province.
Sixthly, the proposed solutions in the Dissertation are useful reference materials for state management agencies and enterprises in Quang Nam province to overcome barriers and successfully implement strategy .
13. Further research directions:
The author believes that future studies may be carried out in several directions as follows.
Firstly, expanding the research object to many industries, fields and enterprises to better reflect the picture of the actual situation of strategic barriers in Quang Nam province.
Secondly, using stratified sampling method or probability sampling to increase the representative of the research sample.
Thirdly, use financial or quantitative indicators to reflect the strategy performance.
Fourth, expand the study of strategic barriers to other geographical areas in order to compare results, compare with Quang Nam province.
Fifth, expand the scope of research on content including barriers to planning and control of strategy.
Sixthly, future research can use more advanced statistical analysis techniques to fully exploit survey data.
