Vietnam National University, Hanoi participates in the exhibition of outstanding achievements in health care and education and the national conference on the dissemination and implementation of the recent Politburo resolutions

On September 16, 2025, at the National Assembly House, the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat organized a national conference to disseminate and implement the recent four important resolutions on international integration, energy security, education and training, and public healthcare. The event was attended by Party General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, along with leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, as well as more than 1.2 million party members at sites nationwide.

Right before the opening of the conference, the Party and State leaders visited the exhibition booths showcasing the outstanding achievements in health care and education. Visiting the exhibition spaces, Party General Secretary To Lam and the delegates acknowledged the remarkable results achieved by the education and healthcare sectors in recent times and reform directions for the coming period.

At the exhibition booth showcasing the scientific and technological potential, and the training 'specialties' of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), VNU President Hoang Minh Son briefed Party General Secretary To Lam about the cutting-edge science and technology products that VNU is developing, highlighting its capacity in combining fundamental research with application, as well as its ability to transfer and commercialize research outcomes in service of national priority tasks.

VNU President Hoang Minh Son emphasized that VNU has been making constant efforts to translate the Party Central Committee’s resolutions into action programs, linking research with the needs of localities and enterprises, expanding technology transfer and commercialization of products, while continuing to develop high-quality training programs in such key areas as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, big data, biomedicine, new materials, and digital economy.

VNU’s exhibition booth focused on strategic, pioneering technological products. The semiconductor technology group showcased thermal imaging chips for security camera systems and dual-use applications, computing chips - microprocessors, and specialized sensor lines. The robotics and automation group displayed a rescue and firefighting support robot, and the BLife vision-based communication device, which is protected by five patents in Vietnam and the United States and has been transferred to several domestic hospitals. The AI and big data group demonstrated clinical healthcare software designed to shorten treatment time and reduce medical costs; alongside these were the results in biotechnology, smart agriculture, advanced materials, sustainable development (such as precious metal recovery from waste), and Earth science forecasting platforms (landslide forecasting, four-season forecasting). These showcases reflect the research and innovation ecosystem that VNU is strongly promoting in line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of education and training.

Party General Secretary To Lam requested that VNU continue to affirm its position as a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary university center of excellence, a cradle of many high-quality, advanced, and internationally standardized programs; while at the same time serving as a pioneering force in implementing major policies on education, science and technology, and innovation, making direct contributions to the nation’s sustainable development and international integration.

Concurrently, at Nguyen Van Dao Hall and other venues across VNU’s member and affiliated units, more than 2,900 Party members participated virtually in the national conference on the dissemination and implementation of the four Politburo resolutions.

The conference focused on studying and disseminating the four important resolutions, namely Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new context; Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW on ensuring national energy security until 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of education and training; and Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on key solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of public health.

The timely dissemination of these resolutions is of great significance, enabling VNU’s cadres and Party members to firmly grasp the viewpoints and orientations of the Party Central Committee, thereby translating them into concrete action programs of each unit. This serves as an extensive political activity, contributing to raising awareness, fostering a sense of responsibility, and strengthening political determination across the entire VNU Party Committee.
