11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- The thesis has established a theoretical framework, including communication, ranks in communication; formal and informal communication.
- From the perspective of formal and informal communication, the thesis surveyed, analyzed and pointed out the linguistic characteristics of ranks in communication of Vietnamese People's Public Security force in vocative acts and speech acts.
- Through from actual materials, the thesis identifies the vocative models, linguistic expressions of some typical speech acts in pairs of upper ranks - lower ranks, equal ranks; focused on surveying pair of ranks in communication in the People's Public Security Force and pair of ranks in communication between the People's Public Security force and people outside the People's Public Security force
- The result of the research on linguistic characteristics of communicative ranks of Vietnam People's Public Security officers shows that the communication of the People's Public Security soldiers is a form of communication that is both formal and informal, both traditional and modern. This is the most profound expression in being imbued with Ho Chi Minh's thought in preserving the morality and conduct of the revolutionary People's Public Security soldiers. The research result of the thesis, in terms of theory, makes a contribution to studying communicative interaction under the impact of language – society (social hierarchy in using language)
12. Practical applicability: The research result of the thesis is a reference to form communicative style in the People's Public Security force; to propagandise and educate behavioral culture of the People's Public Security soldiers in Public Security schools and in the learning and working movements in accordance with the law in the new time.
13. Further research directions: studying linguistic characteristics of communicative ranks in Vietnam People's Public Security force through historical periods associated with the development of the Force.
