VNU Entrepreneur Alumni Club (VNU EAC) connects generations of alumni - intellectual entrepreneurs to accompany and contribute to the development of VNU. The participation, advice and support of generations of entrepreneur alumni will provide VNU’s undergraduates, trainees and graduates with better conditions to study, exchange and develop their careers; and create better environment and more resources for scientists to improve the quality of teaching, scientific research and knowledge transfer.
During the 2023-2024 academic year, VNU EAC coordinated with many units to improve the effectiveness of VNU’s activities. In the past academic year, IMG Investment Joint Stock Company donated 550 million VND from the IMG Foundation to provide scholarships for VNU’s excellent lecturers and students. SHB donated the Talent Nurturing Support Fund 10 billion VND; BIDV contributed 1 billion VND to the young scientists’ capacity improvement program. In addition to caring for excellent students, the Club presented gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances to motivate them to strive to surpass themselves.
Promoting the commercialization of scientists' research results is an important task of higher education institutions. To meet this requirement, President Do Quang Hien donated 5 billion VND to establish VNU Development Investment Joint Stock Company. This support not only facilitates the company's development but also contributes to improving the applied value of scientific research, meeting the social need of enhancing the practical value of science and technology.

With a desire to improve learning conditions and contribute to improving the quality of student life, SHB donated water purifiers and stone benches to help create a greener, cleaner and more beautiful landscape and learning environment for VNU students.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, VNU EAC will maintain scholarship support activities for scientists, lecturers, practitioners, and students through such programs as the IMG scholarship, Talent Nurturing Support Fund, provision of 13 scholarships, each worth 10 million VND, to excellent students – top scorers of VNU’s training units and affiliated schools; 20 New Year 2025 gifts from the Club Fund, each worth 3 million VND to students in difficult circumstances. These supports will not only help reduce the burden of study costs, encourage talented students, but also promote lecturers' creativity in teaching.
In addition, the Club continues to advise and organize investment promotion activities for VNU's PPP projects that are attracting the attention of the businesses owned by the members of the Club’s Executive Board. These projects include training, health care, culture and sports centres; Data Centre project and Official Residence project.
Moreover, the Club pays special attention to promoting circular industrial and sustainable development park projects between VNU and its partners. A typical example is the research project on medicinal herb value chain of the achyranthes bidentata in Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province, ordered by T&T; and cooperation projects between VNU, Long An province and IMG Phuoc Dong Joint Stock Company together with Coca-Cola Vietnam and Duy Tan Plastic Recycling Company. These projects are expected to be implemented in the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2035.
To promote University-Enterprise-Locality cooperation, the Club will establish branches of VNU EAC in provinces and cities across the country with the companionship of Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises. The model will be piloted in key economic centres such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh. This is a strategic step to strengthen the alumni network, while creating new cooperation opportunities, strengthening the connection between knowledge and business, and building a sustainable development ecosystem.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Tu Minh, Vice Chairman of the Club, announced the decision to increase the IMG scholarship fund from the 2024-2025 academic year. This increase in scholarships will not only create opportunities for lecturers and students to maximize their abilities but also affirm the commitment of the Club and IMG Investment Joint Stock Company to academic and innovation development.
