In his letter, the President expressed his joy at the outstanding achievements gained by Vietnamese students at the International Olympiads in 2022.
He emphasized that those students were the pride of not only the education sector but also the nation; the students of VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students have proven the intelligence of the Vietnamese people.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc also commended VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students - a cradle that discovers and fosters the country’s generations of gifted students.
The President believed that generations of teachers and students of the school would continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity, thus significantly contributing to the radical and comprehensive reform of education and training in the country.
Up to July 2022, VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students has won 273 international and Asia Pacific Olympiads medals in Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, including 219 international Olympiads medals (68 gold medals, 80 silver medals, 71 bronze medals) and 54 Asia Pacific Olympiads medals.
The school's students have also won 1 Third Prize and 2 Fourth Prizes at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF).
