Launched in 2004 by the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, with VNPT as the main organizer and sponsor, the Nhan tai Dat Viet Awards have become one of Vietnam’s most prestigious honors in the fields of science and technology.
Now in its 18th edition, the 2025 awards were themed “AI and Big Data – Breakthrough Technologies” in alignment with Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. The awards have undergone significant updates in format and evaluation, seeking to highlight exceptional talent across three pillars: science, technology, and innovation.
The awards are now structured into five key fields: Digital Technology, Medicine and Pharmacy, Youth Innovation, Lifelong Learning and Self-Education, and Contribution to Society.
Among them, Digital Technology remains the heart of the awards, reflecting Vietnam's aspirations toward a secure and sustainable digital nation.
From 168 digital technology entries, 17 were shortlisted for the final round after a rigorous screening process. These finalists defended their projects live before a panel of judges on October 25 in a challenging and intellectually intense competition.
At the ceremony, nine outstanding digital tech projects were honored, including three second prizes, five third prizes, and one special award for digital talent.
Also recognized was a group of students from the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, who received the “Digital Talent” award for their ClaUto smart learning support system. Inspired by real-life classroom experiences, ClaUto uses artificial intelligence, learning data, and deep user insights to personalize and enhance the educational journey.
Over the past two decades, the Nhan tai Dat Viet Awards have attracted more than 7,500 individual and group participants, including over 250 overseas Vietnamese. The competition has received more than 3,500 scientific and technological projects and honored more than 210 outstanding works - over 50 of which have been commercialized and reached regional or international markets.
