Nguyen Ngoc Minh Chau, a student in the Accounting, Analysis and Auditing program at the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS), and her team Six Eight have claimed the championship title at the ACCA Virtual Finhack 2026.

The finance competition was organised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), drawing more than 1,300 contestants from 30 leading universities across the Mainland Southeast Asia (ML SEA) region. The competition challenged participants to develop sustainable, innovative and feasible financial solutions to help businesses navigate financial crises.
Over the course of more than a month, Team Six Eight successfully advanced through three competitive rounds, each demanding deep professional knowledge and the ability to formulate and propose sustainable, innovative and practical financial strategies for corporate crisis management. The journey was an intensive test of perseverance, sharp analytical thinking and close-knit teamwork from every member.

“Outperforming more than 1,300 talented contestants and advancing through three fiercely competitive rounds is no small feat. Minh Chau and her teammates were overwhelmed when announced as the champions of ACCA Virtual Finhack 2026. “This is truly a journey I will always remember, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the ACCA organising committee for creating such a meaningful platform for us to challenge ourselves and grow. As team leader, I am especially grateful to my teammates for their commitment, responsibility and team spirit throughout the entire journey. This achievement belongs to the whole team, not to me alone. I would also like to thank VNU-IS for always supporting and accompanying students on journeys like this. The competition has motivated me to continue striving, honing my knowledge and skills as I pursue a future career in Accounting, Auditing and Finance”, Nguyen Ngoc Minh Chau shared.
