Director of VNU Cooperation and Development Department Le Tuan Anh affirmed that the Russian Federation is an important strategic partner, with more than 20 universities and research institutes currently cooperating with VNU in education and training, scientific research, and the exchange of scholars and students.
Cooperation activities have expanded into key areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, advanced materials, aerospace technology, biotechnology, and digital technology systems. Recent academic programs and international workshops have attracted hundreds of scientists and lecturers participating both in person and online, demonstrating the strong development of the Vietnam–Russia academic cooperation space.
The workshop not only continues the long-standing tradition of educational cooperation between the two countries, but also represents a strategic step to adapt to the rapid advancement of AI, big data, and emerging technologies. In this context, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, as one of the leading universities in Vietnam, consistently identifies its pioneering mission in leading scientific and technological activities, nurturing high-quality human resources, and contributing to addressing major challenges facing the nation and the region.

Prof Nguyen Dinh Duc - President of the Vietnam–Russia Friendship Association Chapter at VNU emphasized the strong potential for cooperation in high-tech fields and fundamental sciences, particularly in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
He proposed strengthening academic exchanges, promoting joint training and research programs, and expanding opportunities for interaction and collaboration among students and doctoral researchers from the two countries. At the same time, he affirmed the important role of people-to-people diplomacy and scientific cooperation as a sustainable bridge connecting Vietnam and Russia.

Speaking at the workshop, Kalganov Vyacheslav Genadievich, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of Saint Petersburg, highly appreciated the role of VNU as an important connecting hub that helps expand academic relations not only with universities but also with the general education system, thereby preparing future generations of students and pupils.
He also emphasized the importance of mobilizing and connecting resources from local authorities, the Vietnamese community in Russia, and local partners to build a sustainable academic bridge, thereby promoting Vietnam–Russia educational cooperation in a substantive, strategic, and long-term manner.
