International School and AAFV expand collaboration in community-cased training programs

On March 12, 2026, Ms. Phan Kim Van – Project Coordinator, Supporting Vietnamese Talents Program, Ms. Jeanne Goffinet – Finance Officer, AAFV, Ms. Elizabeth Rodrigues – President of the AAFV Association in the Paris Île-de-France region – visited and held a working meeting at the International School.

Dr. Phung Danh Thang – VNU-IS Vice Rector, welcomed the delegation and discussed potential areas of cooperation, while also sharing the School’s ongoing educational initiatives and community-oriented activities aimed at expanding access to learning opportunities for different groups in society.

Previously, the International School and AAFV collaborated to implement the Software Testing (Tester) Scholarship Program under the initiative “Supporting Vietnamese Talents.” The program targets young people aged 18 to 30 who demonstrate strong determination to improve their lives but face financial challenges or are currently engaged in informal work without clear long-term career orientation. This social, non-profit project is funded by AAFV and directly implemented by the International School, reflecting the shared commitment of both organizations to support the community by creating opportunities for disadvantaged youth to access practical professional skills.

In the coming time, the two sides will continue discussions to develop and implement additional short-term training programs, focusing on highly applicable professional skills that respond to the practical demands of the labor market.

These programs will not only aim to provide specialized knowledge, but will also emphasize the development of adaptability, professional thinking, and the ability to integrate into modern working environments.

“VNU International School and Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation Vietnam (AAFV) hope to further expand community-oriented cooperation activities, thereby creating more learning and development opportunities for Vietnamese youth, especially those who need a “second chance” to change their career paths”.

Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation Vietnam (AAFV) was established in 1961, originating from an international movement of activists who supported Vietnam during the wartime period. Since then, AAFV has developed a network of local chapters across many provinces and cities in France, and has maintained numerous meaningful activities aimed at connecting associations, organizations, and various groups of the French public who share a strong affinity with Vietnam.
