President of Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association Honored with Hungarian Cross of Merit

The State of Hungary has awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary to Prof. Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh, President of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association, in recognition of his enduring contributions to promoting scientific and educational cooperation, as well as strengthening people-to-people friendship between Vietnam and Hungary.

Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Vietnam Tibor Baloghdi, on June 12 presented the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary to Prof. Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh, President of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association, Chairman of the Science and Training Council of the University of Science (Hanoi-based Vietnam National University), and President of the Vietnam Mathematical Society.

According to the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association, this prestigious award from the State of Hungary recognizes the long-standing and impactful contributions of Prof. Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh to the development of scientific cooperation between the two countries, as well as his efforts in renewing the activities of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Tibor Baloghdi highlighted Prof. Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh's practical contributions to Vietnam - Hungary relations, particularly in the fields of science, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

Expressing his honor upon receiving the award, Prof. Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh shared that Hungary is his second home—a place where he spent many years studying, living, and deeply connecting with since his youth.

He emphasized that this award is not only a personal honor but also a recognition of generations of Vietnamese alumni who studied in Hungary, members of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association, and all those who have contributed to nurturing the friendship between the two nations.

According to Prof. Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh, in the coming time, he will continue to promote people-to-people exchanges and expand cooperation in education, science, and high-quality human resource training, thereby contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hungary.
