Becoming an academic partner of ARM as of May 2025 marks a significant milestone for the Information Technology Institute in accessing, leveraging, and applying ARM’s core technologies — developed by the world’s leading processor design company. Accordingly, scientists, engineers, researchers, and students at the Institute will gain free access to ARM Cortex processor cores, Artisan Physical IP technology, and many other in-depth resources for non-commercial training and research purposes.
This is not only an opportunity to enhance the quality of training and research programs in semiconductor circuit design and embedded systems, but also a crucial foundation for the Center for Integrated Circuits Design and Applications (CICA) - a unit under the Institute - to expand its collaboration, technology transfer, and the development of circuit design products that meet industry standards.
Prof. Tran Xuan Tu, Director of the Information Technology Institute, shared: “The collaboration with ARM marks a strategic turning point, enabling the Information Technology Institute to gain deeper access to the global core technology chain, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem and the training of high-quality IC design engineers in alignment with national development goals.”
