Sharing his heartfelt pride and emotions at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Sci., People’s Teacher Nguyen Vu Luong – Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council of the High School for Gifted Students stated that, established in 1965 with the first Mathematics Specialized Class at Hanoi University (the predecessor of VNU), the specialized education model quickly proved its correctness, pioneering spirit, and outstanding effectiveness in discovering and nurturing talented students in basic sciences. Throughout their 60-year journey, the former specialized classes and now, the High School for Gifted Students have always been the cradle of many generations of exceptional students who have contributed and continue to contribute to the glory of Vietnam’s science, education, and nation. These achievements are the result of the school’s commitment to four fundamental pillars: a faculty of excellent teachers; highly capable students; advanced training programs with scientific and effective educational organization and management; and a strong tradition of studiousness, solidarity, and creativity.
