Ambassador Choi Young Sam delivers a lecture and engages with students of VNU ULIS Faculty of Korean Language and Culture

On January 28, 2026, at Sunwah Hall, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS–VNU) solemnly welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam for a visit and a guest lecture.

Attending the event on behalf of ULIS were Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son, representatives of various units, along with a large number of leaders, staff members, and students from the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture.

Representing the Embassy of the Republic of Korea were Mr. Choi Young Sam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, and officials from the Embassy.

In his remarks, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son expressed his sincere appreciation to Ambassador Choi Young Sam for taking the time to visit ULIS and deliver a lecture, sharing many meaningful insights with the University’s students.

In response, Ambassador Choi Young Sam expressed his pleasure at meeting ULIS students and highly praised the pioneering role of ULIS–VNU in the training and education of the Korean language in Vietnam.

During the lecture, Ambassador Choi Young Sam shared his thoughts on the theme “What Does Korea Mean for Your Future.” He discussed the Vietnam–Korea cooperative relationship from economic, cultural, and educational perspectives, among others. Through this, the Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam is an important partner that receives deep attention from both the Korean people and leadership.

In addition, the Ambassador addressed the future of Vietnam–Korea relations. Mr. Choi Young Sam expressed his confidence that students - the younger generation will further advance this comprehensive strategic partnership and help it achieve even greater outcomes.

Following the lecture, Ambassador Choi Young Sam engaged in an interactive exchange with students of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, answering their questions and offering encouragement and guidance regarding their studies and career orientation.

The lecture contributed to enhancing ULIS students’ understanding of Korea and the Korean language, while also providing them with greater motivation in their academic pursuits.
