At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Chu Duc Trinh – Rector of VNU UET emphasized the strong and enduring partnership between the two universities, particularly in foreign language education since 2008. He also shared the university’s development orientation in the context of transitioning to an autonomous university model. The university not only focuses on financial autonomy but also values the autonomy of lecturers, staff, students, and enterprises within the UET ecosystem.
He expressed his hope for continued support from VNU University of Languages and International Studies – a leading institution in foreign language education – to enhance the quality of training in science and technology human resources with strong language proficiency, global mindset, and integration capacity. At the same time, VNU UET is committed to supporting and accompanying the University of Languages and International Studies in building a comprehensive digital transformation system, contributing to optimizing university governance and promoting sustainable development.

Dr. Do Tuan Minh – Party Secretary and Chairman of University Council of the University of Languages and International Studies expressed his delight at the official signing ceremony. He emphasized that ULIS is not only a “neighbor” under the same roof of VNU but also a close companion that has always been ready to collaborate, share, and support in various academic, research, and sustainable development activities. Therefore, this signing ceremony is expected to open up many effective cooperation opportunities between the two institutions in the future.
Under the agreement, VNU UET will provide consulting, design, and technology transfer services related to digital university governance systems and online training platforms; and will accompany VNU ULIS in implementing its digital transformation plan. In return, VNU ULIS will develop and deliver programs to enhance foreign language proficiency for students of VNU UET. Both institutions will also jointly organize activities to foster connections between their students, promoting academic exchange, soft skills development, and international integration capabilities.
