Science, technology, and innovation at the VNU University of Economics and Business are identified as key strategic pillars, contributing to enhancing educational quality, strengthening academic reputation, and increasing the University’s contributions to socio-economic development. Guided by its orientation as an application-oriented research university, UEB actively promotes interdisciplinary research that closely integrates theory with practice, particularly in areas such as the digital economy, innovation, public governance, sustainable development, and public policy.
The University places strong emphasis on developing leading research groups, improving international publication capacity, and advancing research projects at various levels, while expanding research collaboration with both domestic and international partners. In parallel, UEB actively fosters an innovation ecosystem by strengthening linkages with enterprises, supporting entrepreneurship, facilitating knowledge transfer, and providing policy consultancy for government agencies.
With a development strategy centered on science, technology, and innovation as key drivers, UEB continues to enhance research quality, increase practical applicability, and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of the knowledge-based economy and national digital transformation.
Development Cooperation
Development cooperation at the VNU University of Economics and Business is regarded as a vital pillar, contributing to improving training quality, strengthening research capacity, and enhancing the University’s role in national socio-economic development. The University has proactively built and continuously expanded its network of partnerships with universities, international organizations (currently comprising 87 international partners), enterprises, and governmental agencies both domestically and internationally. Through these efforts, UEB strongly promotes academic exchange, knowledge transfer, and the development of high-quality human resources to meet the demands of integration and growth.
In recent years, UEB has implemented a wide range of cooperative initiatives, including international joint training programs, collaborative research projects, scientific conferences, as well as policy consultancy and customized training programs for enterprises. Notably, the University prioritizes practice-oriented cooperation, aiming to address emerging challenges in economic development, governance, and digital transformation in the current context.
With a strategic focus on internationalization and deep integration, UEB continues to enhance the quality and effectiveness of its development cooperation activities, striving to build an open, innovative, and well-connected academic environment, thereby contributing actively to the national knowledge and innovation ecosystem.
