Science, Technology, and Innovation
Science, technology, and innovation activities at the VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities continue to be actively promoted in alignment with the “Strategy for Science, Technology, and Innovation to 2030.” This serves as an important foundation guiding research toward comprehensive, in-depth development closely connected with the mission of serving society.
The University’s academic ecosystem has achieved encouraging results, reflected in the growing number of publications in high-impact international journals indexed in ISI/Scopus, alongside sustained contributions to leading national academic publications. Its research capacity is further demonstrated through the publication of the Social Sciences and Humanities Book Series, as well as a well-developed system of textbooks and scholarly monographs. Faculty members consistently lead key research projects at institutional, ministerial, and national levels, while actively expanding academic exchange through prestigious international conferences.
Beyond fundamental research, scientific outcomes are effectively translated into policy advisory reports, making meaningful contributions to socio-economic development and affirming the University’s mission of serving the nation.
Development Cooperation
International cooperation is a central pillar in the development strategy of the VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, contributing to enhancing training quality, strengthening research capacity, and expanding academic engagement. The University currently maintains and develops a network of over 200 international partners, including universities, research institutes, and educational organizations from more than 30 countries, forming a solid foundation for diverse and sustainable collaboration.
Building on this network, various forms of cooperation have been effectively implemented, including faculty and student exchanges, international conferences, joint research projects and publications, short-term teaching programs, and the training of international students. On average, approximately 200 faculty members and students participate annually in international exchange programs. At the same time, the University hosts around 20 international scholars for teaching and research, along with approximately 200 full-time international students and nearly 1,000 short-term international learners each year.
Looking ahead, the University will continue to strengthen cooperation in a more substantive and effective manner, enhancing the integration of training, research, and practice. These efforts aim to further advance internationalization and reinforce the University’s position within regional and global academic networks.
