Currently, Prof. George Ellmore is studying the blue dragon tree in Binh Thuan province under the cooperation of Faculty of Biology – VNU University of Science.
The meeting aims to discuss the research project on blue dragon tree, the objectives of which are to reduce price, improve productivity and quality of this type of tree. Besides, the two sides discussed the possible cooperation in another research project on Shan Tuyet tea.
Prof.Dr. Mai Trọng Nhuận emphasized that VNU always supports the effectiveness of the project by providing both human and financial resources and hoped that the project would contribute to the biodiversity balance and environmental improvement. VNU President expected further cooperation activities between Tufts University and VNU in the years to come, including research on plants used in medicine.
